BRIAN AHERN

brian ahern

Prior to co-founding Obelisk Architectural Consultants in 2008, Brian Ahern was Vice President for The Gotham Organization’s residential development division where he gained invaluable insight into the goals, strategies, and financial obligations required of a major Manhattan developer.

From 1994 to 2006, Mr. Ahern worked for two of the world’s preeminent high-rise residential architects, Ismael Leyva and Costas Kondylis.

Working with Costas Kondylis on the conversion of 25 Broad Street in 1994 and culminating with the residential designs for 240 Riverside Drive at Trump Place in 2002, Mr. Ahern is credited with designing some of New York’s most prestigious addresses.

Leaving Costas Kondylis and Partners in 2002 as an Associate of the firm, he joined Ismael Leyva Architects to continue his advanced design innovations.

During his tenure with ILA he became a Senior Associate and worked on several projects in conjunction with Robert A. M. Stern Architects, Skidmore, Owens, and Merrill, and Frank Gehry and Partners.

Mr. Ahern has combined his experience in residential development with his 14 years of designing luxury apartment buildings. He brings to Obelisk his reputation for design excellence in urban residential architecture.
